Monologue for Jon Petite!

Jon arrives back home with a bottle of wine in one hand, he is drunk but not incredibly so. He notices the audience.

Ah! Bonjour I am Jon petite and I have been out on the town! swigs from bottle ahhh wine... hicups Oh pardon! You must excuse the house being in such a mess... I live for the moment! It just doesn't leave much time for tidying! I mean who can resist a bottle of wine and the night sky?! sits on chair and notices diary What is this!? Ahhh of course it is my diary I have not read it in quite some time... My past you see is one of great scandal! I never knew Papa... Mama only knew him fairly briefly, Mama was such a slut papa could have been any of the men in any of the bars in Paris.. Do not think that I dislike Mama she has been wonderful and I do not deserve her I just... well not having a Father it is hard you know?

leafs through diary ahhh now this day I remember well, it was when I visited England for the first time! Of course I did not find it as well cultured as France but then again where is!? I was actually asked to prove I was 18 to be served for wine if you can believe it!? I was insulted and felt violated that I should be deprived of something so beautiful as a bottle of French red... Do not think that I am how you say an alcoholic? It is just that I was always told that it is no good to sit alone in your room, you may as well go and hear the music play! getting up anyway mes petites fleurs I must bid you goodnight! Ou revoir!
